Let me briefly introduce to you the pilot study “Croatia ́s potential: (Re)migration, (temporary) return, and change agency of a young high-skilled generation”.

The study is hosted by the Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar, Zagreb (project leader: dr.sc. Caroline Hornstein Tomić) and funded by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. The focus of the pilot study is to inquire into the contributions of new ideas, resources, and competencies of people with migration experience and their reception at workplaces, in social networks/peer groups, or in the private sphere (families, partners, friends, etc.) after their return to Croatia.

Correspondingly, we investigate the responses to high-skilled (re)migration and temporary return by governmental as well as non-governmental organizations, agencies, and institutions in Croatia, as well as media discourse.

We would be delighted if agreed to take part in the project and to meet with us for an interview (in person or via ZOOM, tbc). We are looking to interview two groups: digitals nomads or Croatian returnees, aged 18-39, who currently live in Croatia. The interview duration is approximately 30 to 45 min.
